The Concert Hall Aarhus is a very large house - Covering more than 35,000 square meters, making it the largest Concert House in Northern Europe.

The extension of the Concert Hall Aarhus in 2007 served a two-fold purpose. Not only did it bring more stages to the city. The vision was to bring together a number of significant cultural institutions in Aarhus under one roof, thus creating a never before seen power centre of culture in Aarhus.

The Concert Hall Aarhus belongs under the Municipality of Aarhus. Thus, the Concert Hall Aarhus is formally the landlord and building manager of the new house as such – the other institutions being long-term tenants.
