Another legend plays Roskilde Festival
NEW ORDER, which was formed out of the remnants of long gone Joy Division, is the living proof that a legendary band in their 40`s can create young, progressive and infectious music. The band has released melancholic classics like Blue Monday, or dynamic and catchy hits like Crystal from their new album Get Ready.
Since their comeback in 2001, NEW ORDER has been a top priority with the audience, who post their requests via e-mails or on the festival`s website. It is therefore a great pleasure for the Roskilde Festival to be able to welcome the band this summer.
Since late April, when the Roskilde poster published the preliminary line-up, up and coming Detroit rock`n`rollers WHITE STRIPES (US) have been announced on Roskilde Festival`s website, but more names are now reporting their arrival. Punk rockers THE ICARUS LINE (US) will be visiting the
Festival Site, and English LOSTPROPHETS, who were awarded the title `best metal act` by the English music magazine NME, will offer fresh news from the world of metal.
Roskilde Festival offers lots of musical experiences and more names will follow, so keep up-dated on news and ticket sales in the media and on the festival`s website, www.roskilde-festival.dk.
Roskilde Festival takes place 27, 28, 29, 30 June 2002. The camping areas will be open from Monday 24 June at 12:00 noon.
