The Queen's Hall, an elegant Georgian church now converted to a 850 seat concert hall, was opened by Her Majesty The Queen on 6 July 1979 and has enjoyed enormous success since. The Hall has been host to many luminaries; from Nina Simone, Jan Garbarek and Ian Carr, David Helfgott, Courtney Pine and Julian Lloyd Webber to Marianne Faithfull, Fairport Convention, Germaine Greer, Rory Bremner, Bill Wyman and John Cale.

It is also home to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra (one of the world's finest chamber orchestras), is well known for its world class series of jazz concerts, hosts the Edinburgh International Festival's series of morning concerts and is used for touring theatre and opera. By adjusting the size of the stage it can accommodate anything from a string quartet to a full symphony orchestra whilst maintaining its excellent natural acoustics. It also offers the best in music from baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary, jazz, rock, folk, blues and pop.

The Queen's Hall also hosts conferences, comedy, fashion shows, receptions, weddings, wine-tasting, book readings and even body-building contests!

Former Georgian church, operating as professional concert hall since 1979. Has featured many of the biggest names in all genres over the years - Phillip Glass, Coldplay, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Jeff Buckley, Gillian Welch, Jamie Cullum, Ornette Coleman, Scottish Chamber Orchestra - the names are endless!
