Global investment firm KKR has acquired concert giant Superstruct Entertainment from Providence Equity Partners in a deal reportedly worth €1.3 billion.

Superstruct Entertainment owns and operates more than 80 music festivals across 10 countries in Europe and Australia including some of Europe’s most renowned festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Defqon.1, Parookaville, Sziget, Tinderbox, Boardmasters, and Sónar.

The demand for live entertainment has surged significantly over the past decade, with projections indicating continued growth as consumer spending shifts from goods to experiences.
