Jane’s Addiction has called off their highly anticipated reunion tour following a dramatic onstage
Jane’s Addiction has called off their highly anticipated reunion tour following a dramatic onstage altercation between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro.
The incident took place on Friday night, with a fan-captured video showing Farrell elbowing Navarro during the performance, sparking the confrontation.
The band officially announced the decision to end the tour via a statement posted on their Instagram, which read in part: “To all the fans, the band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group.”
However, a separate statement issued by band members Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery directly pointed to Farrell’s actions as the cause of the split. “Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour,” their statement explained.
Etty Lau Farrell, Perry’s wife, offered a different perspective on the altercation, attributing it to Farrell’s frustration with the band playing too loudly, as she shared in an Instagram post.
The future of Jane’s Addiction remains uncertain following the sudden end to their reunion tour, leaving fans wondering what lies ahead for the influential rock band.
