Germany’s a.s.s. Concerts & Promotion has announced a new dual leadership team for its Düsseldorf office.
Sabrina Sapone, who joined A.S.S. in August 2023 as a local promoter, will be one half of the leadership. Prior to joining, Sapone spent eight years at Essen`s Zeche Carl cultural center, first in press and public relations, then as a production manager and event planner. Her experience includes working as an artist manager for Rock am Ring and Wacken Open Air.
Partnering with Sapone is Nils Max, who began his career as an intern at a.s.s. in 2009 during his studies. Max later trained as an event manager at ZAKK Düsseldorf and continued his education at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. From 2011 to 2024, he led the music exploitation department at the Popakademie, managing the top-tier funding program Bandpool and the artist agency Klinkt.
Sapone expressed her excitement about the new role: “It’s a great pleasure to expand the Düsseldorf office with Nils. With our team`s expertise and passion, we will bring extraordinary projects to life.”
Max added, “I’m excited to work with Sabrina. We complement each other well, and together we’ll strengthen A.S.S.’s position as a local promoter in North Rhine-Westphalia.”
Florian “Böde” Böhlendorf, managing director of A.S.S., praised the new leadership duo: “With over 300 events annually in NRW and the growing diversity of formats, the combined experience and competence of Sabrina and Nils puts us in an excellent position.”
A.S.S. Concerts, part of the Mehr-BB Entertainment group, has been a prominent booking agency and tour promoter for German and international artists since 1979. The company presents up to 1,200 concerts each year across genres such as rock, pop, folk, jazz, and world music, operating not only in Germany but also in Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux countries.
