UK Singer Sam Fender will donate £1 from each ticket sold during his upcoming "People Watching" tour to the Music Venue Trust (MVT).
The British musician has announced tour dates across the UK and Europe, with performances scheduled throughout December at venues such as Dublin’s 3Arena, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Manchester’s Co-op Live, London’s O2, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. In March next year, he will continue the tour across Europe.
Presales began on Tuesday, allowing fans early access through pre-orders of Fender’s new album or by signing up ahead of the deadline.
Fender joins artists like Coldplay and Enter Shikari in supporting MVT by donating £1 from each ticket sale. In a post on Instagram, MVT expressed gratitude for his contribution, stating: “Another huge arena artist is joining the likes of Coldplay and Enter Shikari in proving that artists themselves want to protect the live music ecosystem where their careers started."
“We still get people in the comments saying this can’t be done, and every time another act like Sam Fender and his team step up, we have to remind the nay-sayers that, yes it can! Our mission to bring in a grassroots ticket contribution on massive tours has taken another big step forward. Thank you to everyone involved.”
