LIDO Festival, a new addition to London’s summer events, will launch in Victoria Park in June 2025.
Named after the park’s historic Lido Field, the two-weekend festival will combine music line-ups with community-focused activities, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
Following the model of AEG’s nearby All Points East festival—which contributes over £45 million annually to the local economy—LIDO aims to engage local suppliers, employ local staff, and boost spending in areas like accommodation, food, and entertainment.
The festival’s midweek programming will also feature free arts, cultural, and wellness activities, providing opportunities for local talent and enriching the area’s cultural offerings.
Jim King (pictured), CEO of European Festivals at AEG Presents says, “LIDO Festival represents the next stage of AEG’s festival journey.
Taking place at Victoria Park, one of our favourite locations in the heart of London’s creative districts, Lido Festival allows us to push our ambitions further in working with young people within the industry and those who aspire to be. Most excitingly, this centres about a new generation of artists, whether they’re headlining or performing for the first time.
The vision of supporting the artists’ journey further develops as we program each day directly with the headliner. This delivers a show that fans know has the artists’ musical soul embedded throughout. This is one of the most exciting aspects of Lido Festival, knowing that everyone on the bill means something to the headliner closing out the show.”
With the line-up announcement forthcoming, LIDO will focus on current headliners and emerging artists, working closely with performers to create a curated musical experience. The festival will promote UK music by showcasing today’s talent and nurturing the next generation of artists in a sustainable environment.
In addition to the music, LIDO has partnered with East London Arts and Music (ELAM) to provide students with hands-on industry experience, offering performance opportunities as well as roles in festival production, technology, and the broader music sector.
