Independent music company All Things Considered Group (ATC) has expanded its presence in the live events sector with the acquisition of majority stakes in two well-known Brighton music venues, Concorde 2 and Volks, as well as a festival amenities business.
Through its subsidiary, Joy Entertainment Group, ATC has increased its ownership of Concorde 2 to 80% and acquired full ownership of JTR Productions Ltd, which provides bar services for major festivals, for approximately £2.49 million. In a separate transaction, Joy has also acquired a 60% stake in the late-night venue Volks for £400,000.
Concorde 2, a mid-sized venue known for hosting major acts such as Amy Winehouse and The White Stripes, holds 150 live music events and 120 club nights annually, attracting around 150,000 visitors per year. Volks, one of Brighton’s longest-running late-night venues, has a strong focus on drum and bass music and is located close to Concorde 2 on the seafront, offering potential cross-promotional opportunities.
The acquisitions align with ATC’s strategy to strengthen its live music and events portfolio, integrating the venues into its broader service offerings, which include artist management, live booking, merchandising, and talent services.
The deal was funded through a loan to Joy from an industry partner, with ATC providing a parent company guarantee.
