Denmark`s music festival scene is experiencing an unprecedented surge in ticket sales for the 2025 season, with several major events reporting record-breaking demand.
The surge in interest is reflected in the rapid sell-out of major festivals.
Roskilde Festival, Denmark`s largest music event, has already sold out two-day tickets for Wednesday–Thursday and Friday–Saturday. Two-day tickets for Thursday–Friday are also gone, as are all Friday-only tickets.
The 2025 edition, running from June 28 to July 5, boasts a lineup featuring international stars such as Olivia Rodrigo, Stormzy, and Jamie xx. With over 130,000 participants, Roskilde Festival ranks as Denmark`s fourth-largest "city" during its run.
Jelling Musikfestival took place last week and had record sales of more than 40,000 tickets.
Tinderbox Festival in Odense has reported that all full festival tickets for its 2025 event, taking place from June 26 to 28, are sold out. This marks the first time in the festival`s history that tickets have been snapped up so quickly.
Grøn Koncert, the annual touring festival organized by Tuborg and Muskelsvindfonden, has achieved historic ticket sales for its 2025 edition. Within 24 hours of tickets going on sale, the festival sold over 175,000 tickets, setting a new Danish record for music event sales.
The remarkable ticket sales for Jelling Musikfestival, Tinderbox Festival, and Grøn Koncert are indicative of a broader trend across Denmark`s live music scene.
According to a study by Copenhagen-based research institute Voxmeter, venues and festivals in Denmark are expected to welcome 2.65 million fans in 2025, surpassing previous attendance figures.
