Live Nation to invest $1 Billion in new Venues across the U.S.

Live Nation Entertainment announced a $1 billion investment to build and revitalize 18 live music venues across the United States, with a focus on expanding access in smaller and mid-sized cities.
The company expects the initiative to generate $2.9 billion in total economic impact, according to an analysis by Oxford Economics.
The new and upgraded venues—ranging from clubs to amphitheaters—are set to open or break ground over the next 18 months in cities including Allentown, PA; Birmingham, AL; Richmond, VA; and Shakopee, MN. Other locations on the list include Atlanta, Denver, Memphis, Milwaukee, and Seattle.
Once operational, the venues are projected to contribute approximately $1.4 billion annually to local economies through spending on live events, hospitality, and tourism-related activities.
Live Nation says the goal is to increase access to live entertainment for fans in underserved markets, reducing the need to travel to major metropolitan areas for large-scale performances.
The announcement comes as the live entertainment industry experiences strong demand and anticipates continued growth. Live Nation cited ticketing reforms and broader economic optimism as contributing factors. The company also voiced support for a March 31 Executive Order from former President Donald Trump aimed at curbing ticket scalping and promoting fairer pricing in the resale market.
"This investment reflects our continued focus on helping artists connect with fans in more communities while supporting local jobs and economies," said Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation.
In preparation for a record year of concerts, the company has hired 37,000 U.S. workers and launched initiatives such as offering over 1 million $30 tickets to summer shows.
Live Nation currently operates about 150 venues in the U.S., accounting for roughly 4% of all music venues nationwide.
