WME has announced the appointment of Laura Ruiz as an agent in its Contemporary Music department, where she will play a key role in expanding the agency’s electronic music roster.
Ruiz, who will be based in WME’s London office, joins from The Bliss Office, where she served as managing director for North and South America.
In her new position, she will oversee the agency’s electronic music business across Spain and Portugal — two priority markets as WME continues to build its international footprint in the genre.
As part of her move, Ruiz brings a number of electronic acts to WME, including Oguz, Joyhauser, Don Woezik, Diøn, and Milo Spykers.
“This appointment further strengthens WME’s commitment to the global electronic music sector, building on a foundation of strategic talent development and market-specific leadership,” the agency said in a statement.
During her time at The Bliss Office, Ruiz led global operations and represented a diverse talent roster that included Clara Cuvé and Joyhauser. Prior to that, she founded her own artist agency and held a key role at The Bullitt Agency in Barcelona, giving her deep experience across both European and American electronic music markets.
Her addition comes as WME continues to scale its presence in the fast-growing global electronic music scene, reflecting a broader strategic push into genre-specific leadership and international market growth.
