Designed by architecture firms HOK and ERRE, the arena will host a wide range of events including music concerts, sporting events, and corporate functions year-round.

Privately funded by businessman Juan Roig—owner of Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona—the project has a reported investment of over €300 million.

With a maximum capacity of 20,000 in a 360-degree concert setup, Roig Arena will become Spain’s largest indoor venue. An additional 2,000-seat auditorium will provide a more intimate alternative for smaller events.

The arena’s initial lineup includes the LOS40 Music Awards and performances by prominent Spanish artists such as Joaquín Sabina, Quevedo, and Fito & Fitipaldis. International acts like Hans Zimmer, Roxette, The Waterboys, Anuel, Camilo, and Sebastián Yatra are also slated to perform.

Roig Arena will additionally serve as the new home for both the men’s and women’s Valencia Basket teams.

In line with sustainability goals, the arena will operate using renewable energy from a dedicated photovoltaic plant and will offer electric vehicle charging stations in 40 of its parking spaces.

Roig Arena forms part of the “Proyecto Legado,” an effort by Roig and Hortensia Herrero to invest in cultural and community development in the region.
