Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) more than doubled to €6.6 million, compared with €3.1 million in the same period of 2024.

The company sold over 6.9 million tickets across its network during the period, up 19 percent from the previous year. A majority of sales were made via DEAG’s own ticketing platforms. For the full year, the company expects to sell around 12 million tickets, up from just over 11 million in 2024.

In the second quarter alone, revenue increased to €88.4 million (2024: €81 million), while EBITDA rose from €100,000 to €3.1 million.

DEAG said that acquisitions completed since 2024 contributed to the growth, pointing in particular to strong results in its Spoken Word & Literary Events segment, including lit.Cologne and UK-based “An Evening With…” formats. The UK, DEAG’s largest international market, also performed positively.

“We are very pleased with our performance in the first half of 2025. DEAG is strongly positioned in the areas of Live Entertainment and Entertainment Services. The strategic decisions we made last year – particularly in the context of key transformation projects – are now reflected in rising revenues and earnings. Strong financial results, ticket sales at a very high level, and a packed event calendar provide a solid foundation for sustainable growth in the second half of 2025 and beyond,” said Detlef Kornett, Group CEO of DEAG.

The company highlighted successful tours and concerts by Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Till Lindemann, Lenny Kravitz and Bausa. Its festival portfolio included around 30 events across Europe, such as Nature One, Airbeat One, Sputnik Spring Break, Sion Sous Le Étoiles, and Belladrum Tartan Heart.

Looking ahead, DEAG plans a busy second half of 2025, with concerts and tours by Simply Red, Lang Lang, Sabaton, Saxon, Helloween, Hans Zimmer, Marilyn Manson, and Böhse Onkelz, as well as the return of the Christmas Garden event series.
