The second of two scheduled concerts by singer D4vd at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo was called off on September 18, as law enforcement confirmed the identity of human remains discovered earlier this month in a car registered to the artist.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been missing since April 2024. Her body was found September 8 in the front trunk of a Tesla that had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for more than a month before being impounded at a tow yard. Workers alerted authorities after detecting a strong odor from the vehicle, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Investigators said the remains were in a decomposed state, delaying identification. The Los Angeles Police Department is treating the case as a homicide, with support from other agencies.
Rivas, last seen in Lake Elsinore, California, was reported missing at age 13. Media outlets including TMZ have reported comments from her family suggesting a connection to someone named David, though police have not confirmed any such link.
D4vd, 20, is represented by Wasserman Music.
His tour is scheduled to continue with performances at San Francisco’s The Warfield on September 19 and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on September 20. European dates are planned from October 3 to November 4, followed by shows in Australia in December.
