Roig Arena, the new €400 million multipurpose venue developed by Mercadona president Juan Roig, is hosting the 2025 assembly of the European Arenas Association (EAA) this week.
The two-day event brings together senior executives from more than 30 leading European arenas, including The O2 (London), Paris La Défense Arena, MEO Arena (Lisbon), and Uber Arena (Berlin).
During the opening session, two new members were admitted to the EAA: Ergo Arena (Gdansk, Poland) and LDLC Arena (Lyon, France). A roundtable on innovation followed, while tomorrow’s programme will feature a keynote on education, a presentation about Roig Arena, and a guided tour of the new venue.
Participating arenas include Accor Arena (Paris), Arena Milano (Milan), Barclays Arena (Hamburg), Nokia Arena (Tampere), Rockhal (Luxembourg), Rotterdam Ahoy (Netherlands), Tauron Arena Krakow (Poland), Unity Arena (Oslo), and Zalgirio Arena (Kaunas), among others.
Opened earlier this year in Valencia Spain, Roig Arena has a concert capacity of up to 20,000 and is designed to host major sports, entertainment, and corporate events. The privately funded project underscores Valencia’s growing position on Europe’s live-entertainment map.
