Live Nation has announced plans for a new 4,400-capacity venue in Nashville, Tennessee, to be called The Truth.
The project, set to open in 2026, aims to celebrate the city’s songwriting heritage and strengthen its position as a global music hub.
Announced via social media, Live Nation described The Truth as “built for songwriters, dreamers, and 4,400 fans,” taking inspiration from the famous Harlan Howard quote, “All you need to write a good song is three chords and the truth.”
The new venue will feature several unique spaces, including a Lyric Lobby with a chandelier projecting lyrics from the performances, a Setlist Studio offering letterpress prints of each show’s setlist, and a Vinyl Lounge with rooftop views. A whiskey bar, Harlan’s, will also be part of the venue’s offerings.
“The legendary songwriter Harlan Howard said all you need for a good country song is three chords and the truth. The Truth is built on that same idea,” said Sally Williams, President of Nashville Music & Business Strategy at Live Nation. “Our goal is to create a space that could only exist here — where raw, honest music meets world-class production, and where fans and artists from across all genres can connect in a way that feels unmistakably Nashville.”
The Truth represents a major investment for Music City. According to Live Nation, the venue is expected to generate $74 million in annual economic impact, support 430 jobs, and contribute $6 million in annual state and local tax revenue.
Located in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, The Truth will join other new developments in the area such as Pastis, Hermès, and Soho House. Plans for additional parking to accommodate the 4,400-seat venue have not yet been detailed.
