EXIT Festival, one of Serbia’s most prominent music events, will take its brand on a global tour beginning in 2026.

The move follows the festival’s forced relocation from its long-time home at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad earlier this year, reportedly due to political tensions and loss of government and sponsor support after organizers voiced backing for student protests.

The new touring format was officially announced during the EXIT party at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The 2026 itinerary includes events in Croatia, North Macedonia, Malta, Egypt, India, and Serbia.

The tour will begin in May 2026 with Croatia’s Sea Star Festival, followed by a June edition in North Macedonia. In August, EXIT will stage a series of events in Malta with local partner G7 Events, before heading to Egypt in October in collaboration with Venture Lifestyle. November will see EXIT arrive in Mumbai, India, before returning home to Serbia for the No Sleep Festival in Belgrade.

“After 25 years at Petrovaradin Fortress, EXIT is now spreading its wings across the world,” said Dusan Kovacevic, CEO and founder of EXIT. “With our festivals, we want to unite continents and carry the spirit of freedom wherever we go. Music is a powerful force that brings people together and builds bridges between nations and cultures.”

Founded in 2000, EXIT Festival has grown into one of Europe’s leading music festivals, drawing major international acts and hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to Novi Sad. The 2025 edition was billed as its last at the iconic fortress location.
