Marshall Amplification has announced a new initiative to strengthen the UK’s grassroots live music scene through a partnership with the Music Venue Trust (MVT).

The project, titled Marshall Nights, will see 20 live shows staged across the country, spotlighting more than 60 emerging artists and the local venues that nurture them. Early events will take place at grassroots staples such as the Green Door Store in Brighton, Fuel in Cardiff, The Rum Shack in Glasgow and Sheffield’s Yellow Arch.

The collaboration extends Marshall’s ongoing support for independent venues, following a donation by company co-founder Terry Marshall to MVT’s Own Our Venues campaign and the supply of backline equipment to over 20 grassroots sites.

“Grassroots music venues are the lifeblood of the UK’s music ecosystem,” said Denzil Thomas, partnerships manager at MVT. “We’re proud to partner with Marshall, a brand that embodies the sound and spirit of live performance, to keep these vital spaces alive.”

In addition to the live events, Marshall and MVT plan to produce a series of live sessions, interviews and behind-the-scenes content highlighting the participating artists and venues.

“Marshall was born from the live stage, and that’s where we belong,” added Kevin Penney, marketing director for Marshall EMEA. “Grassroots venues are where every great band starts, and we’re proud to help keep those stages alive for the next generation.”

Founded in the UK, Marshall Amplification is known globally for its amplifiers, speaker cabinets and music equipment.
