The project is being developed by Boxcar Development LLC in partnership with Marriott International, and will redevelop the former CSX Building at Pennsylvania and Georgia Streets, adjacent to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

In addition to the Live Nation–operated venue, the development includes the city’s first Ritz-Carlton Indianapolis and new retail offerings.

Live Nation’s venue is scheduled to open in autumn 2027 and is intended to fill a mid-sized gap in the Indianapolis market, sitting between smaller clubs and arena-scale shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The company said the venue will support a broader range of touring artists, provide a scalable step for acts growing their audiences, and expand year-round live entertainment programming in the city centre.

According to project partners, the Live Nation venue will employ more than 300 full-time staff, with starting wages from $20 per hour, and is expected to contribute ongoing economic activity tied to downtown revitalisation efforts.

City officials and project partners framed the development as a significant expansion of Indianapolis’ live entertainment and hospitality infrastructure, with Live Nation’s operational role central to positioning the venue as a new anchor for touring activity in the downtown district.
