The 80-year-old musician was due to begin the run at Cornwall’s Eden Sessions on 17 June, with dates scheduled across the UK and mainland Europe before concluding in Udine, Italy, on 26 July. The tour has now been called off in full.

In a statement published on his Neil Young Archives website, Young said: “I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts.”

Following the planned opening date in Cornwall, Young had been scheduled to perform at Manchester’s Heaton Park on 19 June, headline the inaugural State Fayre Festival in Chelmsford on 27 June, appear at Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on 29 June, and play shows at Blenheim Palace Festival in Oxford on 3 July and Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on 5 July. A series of European dates was set to follow before the now-cancelled final show in Italy.

Eden Sessions confirmed the cancellation via social media, stating that the 17 June 2026 show would not go ahead and that ticket holders would be contacted directly regarding full refunds.

The announcement comes after Young, who turned 80 in November, recently spoke to fans during an online Q&A about coming to terms with the milestone age and focusing on staying active and healthy.
