Connecting the live music industry
Atlas Arena in Poland, has completed a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at increasing capacity, improving safety standards, and enhancing flexibility for event organisers.
The multi-purpose venue, owned by the City of Lódz and operated by Miejska Arena Kultury i Sportu, has increased its maximum capacity from 13,800 to 14,728 following a modernisation of its safety systems and internal infrastructure.
The investment is intended to improve attendee comfort while strengthening the arena’s position within the Polish live entertainment market.
Located in central Poland, Lódz benefits from strong transport links, including access to major motorways connecting key cities such as Warsaw, as well as proximity to regional airports. The venue has positioned this accessibility as a factor in attracting large-scale concerts and events.
As part of the upgrade programme, Atlas Arena has installed a new modular curtain system designed to offer greater flexibility in event configuration. The system consists of eight independent sections, allowing organisers to divide or adapt the arena space depending on production needs. It also supports the suspension of additional technical elements, including lighting and stage equipment. An in-house technical team is available to operate the system.
Further enhancements include the introduction of mobile stands that can be installed and repositioned as required, enabling more adaptable seating layouts and event formats. These are also managed by the venue’s technical staff.
Atlas Arena continues to host a wide range of concerts and touring productions, with past shows including international artists such as Elton John, Rihanna, Depeche Mode and Iron Maiden, underlining its role as a regular stop on major European tours.
The venue also accommodates large-scale sporting events, conferences and entertainment formats, positioning itself as one of Poland’s key indoor arenas.
The arena takes its name from Atlas Group, a Polish construction chemicals company that holds the naming rights, which have been extended through a long-term sponsorship agreement.
