A new London-based company, Legacy World Artists, has launched with a focus on developing live performances centred on established rock and pop repertoires, positioning these shows as a long-term segment within the live music market.

The company has been formed by music managers Harry Cowell and Simon Napier-Bell, alongside agency owner Neil O’Brien.

Its model is based on presenting experienced performers interpreting well-known catalogues, with an approach that draws parallels to how classical music repertoire is performed by successive generations of artists.

The concept builds on prior experience from Raiding the Rock Vault, a long-running Las Vegas stage production developed by Cowell and Napier-Bell, which featured a rotating cast of established musicians performing classic rock material. The show ran for more than a decade and was later toured in the UK, focusing on maintaining the integrity of original recordings while allowing performers to add individual interpretation.

Legacy World Artists aims to position this format beyond traditional tribute shows, targeting a more structured and professionalised segment of the market. The company’s strategy reflects a broader industry dynamic, where ageing legacy artists are touring less frequently, and ticket pricing for major acts continues to rise, potentially creating demand for alternative live formats built around established catalogues.

The initiative also draws on historical parallels from the 1960s, when emerging UK artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds developed their live performance skills by interpreting American repertoire before establishing their own original material.

In its initial phase, the company is launching a roster of acts built around specific artist catalogues, including shows based on the music of Prince, Roxy Music, George Michael, Taylor Swift and Elton John.

Alongside live performance development, Legacy World Artists is also exploring collaborations with production partners to integrate advanced digital and AI-driven elements into its shows, indicating potential future crossover between catalogue-based performances and new presentation technologies.

The company’s principal booking agent is Carl Marcantonio.
