The company stated: “DEAG sets new records for revenue and earnings in financial year 2025 – excellently positioned for long-term growth.”

Revenue increased by around 33% to €490.0 million, while EBITDA more than doubled to €32.1 million, compared to €14.4 million in the previous year. The EBITDA margin also improved from 3.9% to 6.6%.

Ticket sales reached a new high of over 12 million, up from 11 million in 2024. A significant share of tickets was sold via DEAG’s proprietary platforms. By the end of 2025, approximately 3 million tickets had already been sold for 2026 events, representing secured revenues of €151.5 million and providing forward visibility for the current year.

Expansion and acquisitions continue
DEAG continued to execute its buy-and-build strategy during the period, strengthening its position in key segments and markets. This included acquiring a majority stake in the ROCKHARZ Festival, one of Germany’s largest rock and metal events.

Internationally, the company reported strong performance from MC2 Live, following its acquisition in 2024. DEAG also increased its ownership to 100% in Fane Productions and gigantic.com, consolidating control over key assets.

Post year-end, the group continued its M&A activity, acquiring remaining minority stakes in promoters Wizard Live, LiveGeist Entertainment and Wizard Communications, as well as a majority interest in the Juicy Beats and in conneccted: EVENTS & LIVE MARKETING GmbH.

Strong live programme across genres
DEAG’s 2025 performance was supported by a broad event portfolio spanning concerts, tours, festivals and spoken word formats. Touring activity included artists such as Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender, Iron Maiden and Marilyn Manson, alongside German acts and international touring productions.

The company also highlighted continued growth in its spoken word and literary segment, including the lit.COLOGNE festival, as well as large-scale entertainment formats such as “Disney on Ice” and seasonal attractions including its Christmas Gardens, which drew around 1.6 million visitors.

Festival activity remained a key contributor, with events such as NATURE ONE, Indian Spirit and Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival forming part of a strong summer programme.

Outlook for 2026
DEAG expects ticket sales to remain at a consistently high level in 2026, supported by a dense event calendar including tours from Judas Priest, Deep Purple and Gorillaz, as well as arena shows, cultural productions and spoken word events.

While revenue for 2026 is expected to be temporarily below 2025 levels due to the cyclical nature of the live entertainment business, the company forecasts revenues above €400 million and a further improvement in EBITDA margin.

With a strengthened financial position following a €75 million corporate bond issuance and continued consolidation activity, DEAG indicated it intends to remain active in the European live entertainment M&A landscape.

Detlef Kornett, Group CEO of DEAG, said: “The measures we implemented in the transformation year 2024 to enhance our competitiveness, profitability and efficiency had a clearly positive impact in financial year 2025. We are very pleased with the strong business performance, to which all parts of our Group contributed equally. DEAG is therefore very well positioned to sustainably continue its organic and inorganic growth strategy trajectory going forward.”
