Live Music Ticket Revenue to Hit $50bn by 2030

Global ticket sales revenue from concerts and festivals exceeded $40 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $50 billion by 2030, according to the inaugural live music forecast from Omdia.
The report indicates that year-on-year growth of 2.5% in 2025 reflects a period of market stabilisation following the rapid post-pandemic recovery, when global revenue rose from $8.8 billion in 2021 to current levels.
Omdia’s analysis covers 51 markets alongside seven rest-of-region groupings, with deeper insights into 11 of the world’s largest countries. The data includes breakdowns of paid admissions, average ticket prices, and ticket sales revenue across both concerts and festivals.
Total paid attendance across these key markets is expected to surpass 500 million by 2027, driven by a combination of increasing ticket prices and sustained consumer demand. These factors are forecast to support continued market expansion through to the end of the decade.
The United States is expected to remain the highest-priced market, with average concert ticket prices projected to exceed $100 by 2030. It is also set to retain its leading position globally, accounting for just over 30% of total ticketing revenue throughout the forecast period.
“Revenue from ticket sales is steadily increasing as the industry`s highest-profile tours continue to sell in record numbers, with four of the eight highest-grossing tours in history including concert dates in 2025,” said Tav Aujla, Research Analyst at Omdia. “Consumers are willing to pay high prices for premium experiences, while regionally rooted genres such as K-pop and Latin music are gaining broader appeal.”
Simon Dyson, Senior Principal Analyst, Music and Digital Audio at Omdia, added: “The live music sector is in strong health and showing few signs of slowing. Demand for shared experiences is outpacing supply, with major artist tours selling out faster than ever. Equally exciting is that emerging markets are creating new opportunities, with rising demand across Southeast Asia and Latin America opening new audiences for both local and international artist tours and events.”
