Connecting the live music industry
Ticket buyers for the cancelled edition of Forever Festival will be offered access to a number of festivals in the Dutch province of Limburg through a compensation scheme organised by Stichting Festival Xperience, which manages the festival’s brand and licence.
Forever Festival had been scheduled to take place in July at Megaland in Landgraaf, but the event was cancelled after organiser WeCreate Group BV was declared bankrupt earlier this year. Efforts to find a new operator for the 2026 edition were unsuccessful.
According to Stichting Festival Xperience, around 1,500 visitors purchased early bird tickets for the cancelled festival. Under the new arrangement, ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for a selection of participating regional festivals.
The participating events include Landgraaf Tent Festivals in Landgraaf, Pop on Top in Valkenburg, Op Dreef Festival in Reuver, Real RnB Classics in Maastricht, Riverbeats Festival in Wessem and Stadsliefde Festival in Weert.
The foundation said the compensation scheme is separate from discussions surrounding a possible return of Forever Festival in 2027. It is currently exploring whether previously sold early bird tickets could remain valid if the event returns under new management.
