Annual profit reached CHF 1.65 million compared to CHF 0.89 million in 2024, while EBITDA increased to CHF 7.9 million from CHF 4.2 million, representing an EBITDA margin of 34.2%.

The Zurich-based Swiss arena, which has a concert capacity of up to 15,000, hosted 110 event days during the year and welcomed around 937,000 visitors. Management said operating efficiency improved despite the higher number of events, with event-related costs reduced to 21.8% of revenue.

Originally opened in 1939 and rebuilt in 2005, Hallenstadion remains one of Switzerland’s key concert venues and has hosted international artists including The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, ABBA, Queen, Lady Gaga and Adele.

“With 110 events, we managed a high organisational cadence while significantly increasing revenue and results at the same time,” said Philipp Musshafen, chief executive and director of AG Hallenstadion.

A value creation study commissioned by AG Hallenstadion and the City of Zurich estimated that the arena generated an annual gross value added of CHF 186 million between 2023 and 2025. The report also found that approximately 1,440 full-time jobs across Switzerland are directly or indirectly linked to the venue’s operations.

According to the study, visitors attending Hallenstadion events spend an average of CHF 53 per person in Zurich, while around 73,000 hotel overnight stays per year are connected to arena events.

AG Hallenstadion also confirmed plans to invest CHF 20 million in venue upgrades by 2035 as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen Hallenstadion’s position as a destination for international touring artists and major live events in Europe.
