HYBE confirmed that Braun will continue working with the company in an advisory capacity and said it is exploring opportunities for future collaboration based on the relationship established between the two parties.

Braun`s departure from the board is reflected in HYBE`s first-quarter 2026 report, where he no longer appears among the company`s directors. Separate shareholder filings also show that Braun is no longer listed as a special related party within Chairman Bang Si-hyuk`s shareholder group. As a result, his previously reported voting shares and other securities are no longer included in Bang`s reported holdings. HYBE said it could not comment on any changes to Braun`s individual share ownership.

Braun joined HYBE in 2021 following the company`s $1.05 billion acquisition of Ithaca Holdings. The transaction brought businesses including SB Projects and Big Machine Label Group into HYBE`s portfolio and led to Braun joining the company`s board.

He later became CEO of HYBE America, overseeing the division`s expansion, including the acquisition of Quality Control in 2023. After announcing his retirement from artist management in 2024, Braun stepped down as CEO of HYBE America in July 2025, with Isaac Lee assuming leadership while Braun remained on the board as Senior Advisor.

US restructuring continues
Braun`s board departure comes as HYBE continues restructuring its North American operations under Lee, who serves as Chairman and CEO of HYBE America. Earlier this year, Scott Borchetta exited the company, with the Nashville-based operation subsequently rebranded as Blue Highway Records.

HYBE also disclosed that its board approved a $100 million capital injection into HYBE America on March 31 to support the subsidiary`s operations. At the company`s annual general meeting, Isaac Lee was appointed as an inside director while Kevin Mayer joined HYBE`s board as a non-executive director.

Shareholding changes
In separate shareholder filings, Bang Si-hyuk disclosed the donation of more than 700,000 shares, including over 546,000 shares transferred to HYBE for employee stock compensation. A further donation of 192,126 shares for the same purpose was announced in May.

As of May 2026, Bang Si-hyuk remained HYBE`s largest shareholder, with a combined stake of 41.06%, including shares held by affiliated parties under shareholder agreements.
