There are at least three groups called "Boogie Knights".


1. From Baltimore: The Boogie Knights are filk singers, they write parodies of popular songs, changing the lyrics to describe dominantly events from medieval and horror genres, but with some Tolkien and D&D. All of them perform vocals, and they have a guitar, some kazoos, and small hand-held percussion instruments. They have published five CDs, "Cavalier Attitude", "Oh The Horror", "Hysterically Inaccurate", "Of Mythic Distortions", and "Many a Sleepless Knight". The current members of the group are David Keefer, John Scheeler, Sharon Palmer, Heather Scheeler, Kate Greenberger, Linda Swann, and Keith R.A. DeCandido. In the past, they have performed at the annual Shore Leave and Farpoint science fiction conventions in Baltimore, as well as other conventions like DragonCon or ConCarolinas.

2. Another one from Kassel, Germany: The Boogie Nights were part of the Rap Crew Deadly Hyenas. The members were Jintanino and LaOle.

3. A disco/funk band featuring Jeff Scott Soto on vocals. Known for their 1993 album "Welcome to the Jungle Boogie". The title track opens with the famous intro from Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" and suddenly changes to funk. This mixed with the fact that they had a rock singer (Jeff Scott Soto) on vocals creates an impression that the record would be some kind of rock parody of famous disco/funk songs but the intro is actually the only clearly "rock" part on the album, rest is pretty much only that disco/funk stuff.
