Bam-Jazz - Let the Party Begin!

Bam-Jazz is comprised of some of the best players in the area and trumpeter/vocalist Bill Averbach brings it home with vintage swing, jazz and blues from the 20’s and beyond. Influenced heavily by artists such as Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, and Louis Prima the band plays that jumpin’ jive so reminiscent of zoot suits and two-tone shoes.

With sizzling horn selections and a finger-poppin’ rhythm machine driving the band you cannot sit still when they play their style of Swing, Boogie and Blues. The seething and sophisticated ballads of Strayhorn, Ellington and Gershwin beckon you to glide across the dance floor with your baby in your arms. And, when called, the flavor of New Orleans’ spicy Cajun influenced Blues, Mambos take center stage surrounded by Brazilian Sambas, and the sounds of Reggae and Caribbean Ska and Calypso.
