Coldplay drew over 178,000 fans during their debut concert series in Helsinki, Finland.

The British band performed for four consecutive nights at the Olympic Stadium from July 27 to July 31, with each concert attracting approximately 44,500 attendees as part of their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’.

Live Nation Finland confirmed that this event set the record for the highest ticket sales by a single artist or band in Finland for a single visit. Additionally, it was the first instance of a tour performing four consecutive nights at the Olympic Stadium, which had previously only hosted two concerts from the same tour at one time.

The band has been advocating for sustainable touring during their latest global tour, promising to reduce emissions by 50% compared to their previous tour in 2016-17.

To support this initiative, they partnered with DHL as the official logistics partner, emphasizing the use of advanced biofuels for air travel and electric vehicles for ground transportation.

On stage, Coldplay utilized solar energy, sustainable biofuels, and renewable grid power to support their production. In collaboration with BMW, they developed a mobile, rechargeable battery for the show, using recyclable BMW i3 batteries.

In June of last year, Coldplay announced a 47% reduction in CO2e emissions, and in June of this year, they reported exceeding their sustainability goals with the Music of the Spheres World Tour achieving a significant 59% reduction in CO2e emissions.
