Velomax Berlin Hallenbetriebsgesellschaft will continue to manage two of the capital’s iconic venues, the Max-Schmeling-Halle and Velodrom, after winning a new service concession.
The Berlin Senate Department for the Interior and Sport awarded the contract for the two multifunctional arenas, effective July 1, 2025, following a multi-stage negotiation process.
The management duo, Sybil Franke and Sebastian Rüß, are pleased with the conclusion of the award procedure: `We are happy that the intensive tendering process has been successfully completed. Our well-rehearsed team can continue working together and now focus again on operational business. We look ahead to successfully leading both venues into a challenging future, ensuring top-level entertainment for all Berliners and guests while optimally safeguarding the owner’s interests.`"
