European Talent Exchange posts final 2025 festival results

The European Talent Exchange (Exchange) has published its final results for 2025, reporting another year of international growth for emerging European artists connected to ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag).

According to the programme, Exchange supported 352 performances by 150 artists from 29 countries during 2025, with shows taking place at 95 festivals across 31 countries. 

Artists who showcased at ESNS in January were subsequently booked across Europe and selected international markets throughout the year. The European Talent Exchange is coordinated by ESNS and co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

ESNS artists feature across major European festivals
Artists performing at ESNS 2025 automatically joined the European Talent Exchange and were tracked via ESNS Radar, which monitors bookings at around 130 partner festivals. 

Throughout the 2025 festival season, ESNS alumni appeared on line-ups at major European events including Sziget (Hungary), Lowlands (Netherlands), Rock Werchter (Belgium), Colours of Ostrava (Czechia), Maifeld Derby (Germany), Pukkelpop (Belgium), Ypsigrock (Italy), and Winterthurer Musikfestwochen (Switzerland).

Artists touring internationally in 2025
Several ESNS alumni built extensive touring schedules in 2025. UK artist Luvcat appeared at festivals including Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Rock en Seine, Sziget, Way Out West, Montreux Jazz Festival, Mad Cool Festival, and Reeperbahn Festival. Irish act Cliffords performed at Glastonbury, TRNSMT, Rock Werchter, Haldern Pop, and Best Kept Secret.

Belgian artist Sylvie Kreusch featured at festivals such as Les Eurockéennes de Belfort, Ypsigrock, Electric Castle, Lowlands, and Gurtenfestival. Spanish artist Judeline toured widely, with appearances at Linecheck, Coachella, Down The Rabbit Hole, Dour, Gurtenfestival, and Paléo Festival Nyon.

Ukrainian artist Carpetman performed at Reeperbahn Festival, Ypsigrock, Festival Europavox Clermont-Ferrand, and Colours of Ostrava, while Swedish act Boko Yout appeared at events including The Great Escape, c/o pop Festival, Lowlands, Das Fest, Reeperbahn Festival, and Paléo Festival Nyon.

Artists from across Europe were also active on the festival circuit, including Erika Rein, Loverman, MAQUINA., Mitsune, Personal Trainer, Sami Galbi, Smag På Dig Selv, Soft Loft, The Pill, sunnbrella, Kingfishr, Bassolino, Daniela Pes, and others. UK acts such as Alessi Rose, Big Special, jasmine.4.t, Antony Szmierek, Chloe Slater, Getdown Services, and Ugly also secured international festival bookings across Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Scandinavia, and additional markets.

Partner festivals supporting emerging talent
In 2025, partner festivals continued to programme ESNS alumni across their line-ups. Sziget featured 14 ESNS artists, while Lowlands and Maifeld Derby each booked seven. Roskilde Festival programmed six ESNS acts, with Iceland Airwaves and Pukkelpop each featuring seven. Other festivals including Trans Musicales, End of the Road, Primavera Sound, and Glastonbury also included ESNS artists.

Overall, ESNS alumni performed at festivals in 31 countries, reflecting the programme’s continued geographic reach.

Ongoing collaboration across Europe
European Talent Exchange operates in collaboration with YOUROPE, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), 31 media partners, 24 members, and six associated partners, including 26 export offices. 

The programme currently works with around 130 partner festivals and focuses on supporting the international development of emerging European artists.
