Geoff Ellis wins NAA 2024 Outstanding Contribution Award

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts and Events, has been honored with the National Arenas Award 2024 for his outstanding contribution to live entertainment. As he approaches 40 years in the industry, Ellis has played a key role in shaping the UK’s arena business, bringing top-tier artists to venues like Glasgow’s OVO Hydro and Aberdeen’s P&J Live. A prominent figure in Scotland’s live music scene, he also promotes major festivals such as TRNSMT. Presented by NAA board member Debbie McWilliams, the award recognizes Ellis’ enduring impact on the industry. NAA chair John Drury praised his dedication, highlighting his influence beyond Scotland as a Concert Promoters Association member. Ellis expressed his gratitude, calling the recognition an honor and emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving the live music industry forward. Since becoming DF Concerts CEO in 2001, Ellis has been instrumental in growing Scotland’s live music scene, working with global icons like Eminem, Coldplay, and Rihanna, while also championing rising stars like Gerry Cinnamon and Lewis Capaldi. The NAA has presented the Outstanding Contribution award annually since 2009 to honor those who have made a lasting impact on live entertainment.
