Aviva Secures Naming Rights for New UK Arena
Bristol’s long-awaited arena has secured a naming rights partner and will be known as the Aviva Arena when it opens in late 2028.
The venue, currently under development by YTL Live at Brabazon on the former Filton airfield, will join other Aviva-backed cultural landmarks including the Aviva Stadium and Aviva Studios.
Aviva has 12 UK locations, including one in Stoke Gifford, less than two miles from the Brabazon hangars where the new arena is being built.
A 20,000-Capacity Venue for the South West
According to operator YTL Live, the Aviva Arena will have a capacity of 20,000 for music, entertainment and sport. The development forms part of the wider Brabazon regeneration project, which is set to include 25,000 new homes.
YTL Live CEO Andrew Billingham said:

Our aim is clear: to ensure that Aviva Arena contributes positively and sustainably to the entire live-music landscape, from emerging talent to headline artists.”
Bristol is currently the largest UK city without a dedicated arena-scale venue. The new development is positioned to attract major touring productions that currently bypass the city in favour of destinations such as Nottingham, Newcastle and Leeds.
