CTS EVENTIM has announced that Chief Financial Officer Dr William Willms has left the company’s Management Board with immediate effect, bringing his tenure at the live entertainment group to an end after around nine months.
Willms joined CTS EVENTIM at the beginning of 2026 as CFO of EVENTIM Management AG, the personally liable partner of CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA. He had previously held a number of senior positions within the Lufthansa Group.
The company disclosed his departure on 30 September in a brief ad-hoc announcement and did not provide a reason for the decision.
Dr Philipp Knigge, Senior Vice President Finance, will take over the CFO responsibilities on an interim basis. Knigge has worked in various finance roles at CTS EVENTIM for around nine years.
Willms had been announced as the successor to former CFO Holger Hohrein in November 2025. Hohrein left the company after CTS EVENTIM said the two sides had agreed not to extend his contract following three years in the role.
CTS EVENTIM is one of Europe’s largest ticketing and live entertainment groups, operating ticketing platforms and promoting concerts, tours and festivals across multiple international markets.
