New Booking Agency Launches in the Netherlands
Agent Gino Boudewijns is launching a new independent booking agency in the Netherlands under the name Boekers, with the company officially starting operations on 1 October.
Boudewijns has been responsible for bookings at Dutch record label Berk Music for the past ten years and will now take the booking operation forward as an independent company.
He will own and lead Boekers alongside members of the existing booking team, including Lesley van Biljouw.
The company also plans to expand its administrative and booking staff over time.
Boekers launches with an exclusive roster of around 15 artists and will primarily focus on Dutch-language music and party acts. Rather than rapidly expanding the roster, Boudewijns said the initial priority will be developing the artists already represented by the company.
The agency will also be open to artists signed to other record companies as well as independent acts, broadening its scope beyond the roster previously associated with Berk Music’s booking operation.
Alongside exclusive representation, Boekers plans to increase its focus on full event programming. The agency will offer organisers, corporate clients and private customers complete line-ups, including artists that are not exclusively represented by the company.
The new agency will maintain a working relationship with Berk Music while operating as a standalone business.
