Piletilevi Group expands operations in Romania with acquisition

Piletilevi Group, a major ticketing company in Central Europe, has expanded its operations in Romania by acquiring Ticketing Nation s.r.l., which manages Entertix.ro and Myticket.ro. This follows its 2023 purchase of a majority stake in Bilete.ro, Romania`s oldest ticketing company. The merger establishes Piletilevi Group as a significant player in Romania`s ticketing market, holding an 80.2% stake in the combined entity. The merged companies sell nearly 5 million tickets annually, generating over €30 million in revenue and attracting 24 million online visits. Sven Nuutmann, Piletilevi Group`s chairman, stated the company sees potential in Romania`s developing entertainment sector and plans further expansion in Central and Western Europe. Valentin Vasiloiu, head of Entertix, and Andreea Pop, CEO of Bilete.ro, emphasized the strategic importance of the merger for strengthening market presence and delivering innovative solutions. The transaction, finalised on December 16, 2024, received regulatory approval. SEB Bank co-financed the deal, with management board member Peep Jalakas expressing support for Piletilevi Group`s international growth. The Estonia-based company operates in seven countries, including the Baltics, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland, serving a combined market of 79 million people. With over 16 million tickets brokered annually worth €310 million, Piletilevi Group is one of the major players in the market.
