UK based Various Artists Management (VAM) is expanding its global presence with the launch of a new office in Sydney, Australia. Arwen Hunt has been appointed as Head of the company’s Australia/New Zealand division and will report to VAM CEO David Bianchi. Hunt brings extensive experience in the music industry, having held roles in artist management, A&R, publishing, and promotions. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Creative / Head of A&R at UMPG Australia and New Zealand, working with artists and writers such as PJ Harding, Ruel, Lime Cordiale, and DMA’S. Her career has also included collaborations with artists including Odette, Timmy Trumpet, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, and Hiatus Kaiyote. Previously, as a Partner at ATC London, she managed acts such as Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kate Nash, and Tegan and Sara (UK & Europe). Arwen Hunt said: “If you’re lucky enough to find your tribe in this often brutal industry, you find a way to work together. That’s exactly what happened when I first sat down with the VAM team, and now, here we are! Dave, John, Nick, and Matt not only have a knack for identifying incredible musical talent, they’re also astonishingly adept at handpicking the right people to grow VAM and the careers of their artists and writers."
