Brian Hetherman joins NXNE

North by Northeast (NXNE), the Toronto music festival and conference, has appointed Brian Hetherman as its new Head of Domestic and International Relations. In this role, he will lead the festival`s revitalized delegate program in 2025, coinciding with its 30th anniversary. Hetherman brings over 30 years of experience in the music industry, having founded Curve Music, Cerberus Management, and Sonic Envy. He has worked with various artists, including Men Without Hats and Wide Mouth Mason, and has held key positions such as Head of A&R at MCA and Executive Director of the Radio Starmaker Fund. Hetherman previously collaborated with NXNE in 2005 and expressed enthusiasm about rejoining the festival. NXNE CEO Michael Hollett highlighted Hetherman’s expertise and leadership as the festival prepares to reintroduce its delegate program, which has been on hiatus since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
