EJAE Signs with WME for Global Representation

EJAE, the vocalist and songwriter behind KPop Demon Hunter’s global hit “Golden,” has signed with WME for worldwide representation across all areas of her music career.

The singer rose to prominence as the voice of Rumi, the lead character in Netflix’s animated musical KPop Demon Hunters, and co-wrote several tracks on its platinum-certified soundtrack.

Her performance on “Golden” helped the single spend eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first song by a female K-pop act to top the chart. The track also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify.

EJAE co-wrote additional songs from the film, including “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like,” and “Your Idol,” as well as the score’s “Hunter’s Mantra.” The soundtrack became the first in Billboard history to feature four songs simultaneously in the Top 10.

Recently, EJAE performed “Golden” live with HUNTR/X on The Tonight Show and appeared in a sketch on Saturday Night Live. She was named one of Variety’s “10 Artisans to Watch” for 2025 and won Best Original Soundtrack at the K-World Dream Awards, with additional nominations at the MTV VMAs.

Beyond her work on KPop Demon Hunters, EJAE has written, vocal-directed, and provided backing vocals for leading K-pop acts including aespa (“Drama,” “Armageddon”), Red Velvet (“Psycho”), Le Sserafim, TWICE, Taeyeon, NMIXX, and Fifty Fifty.
