Tyketto To Continue European Tour With CoreLeoni
Tyketto will continue with their planned European tour in September and October 2026, despite the withdrawal of Black Star Riders from the original co-headline run.
The tour, billed as The Rock ‘n’ Roll Salvation Tour, was initially scheduled to feature Tyketto and Black Star Riders across Europe. Black Star Riders announced that they had pulled out of the dates, citing ticket sales that had not reached the level required for the tour to proceed with their involvement.
Ticket refunds for fans who specifically wanted to see Black Star Riders are available from the point of purchase.
Following the announcement, Tyketto confirmed that the tour will go ahead, with Swiss rock band CoreLeoni joining the bill. A number of dates have been rearranged, while a small number of shows have been cancelled as part of the revised routing.
Tyketto frontman Danny Vaughn said: “Obviously, we`re disappointed that our friends in Black Star Riders can no longer tour with us in Europe, but we`re delighted to confirm that Tyketto are still coming. And we`re very happy to be joined by the fantastic CoreLeoni as we bring our new album, Closer To The Sun, to all of our fans and friends across Europe.”
The tour update also noted that the band’s team had worked with promoters and venues to keep the run on the road following the change to the original package.
Tyketto emerged from the New York hard rock and melodic rock scene and are best known for their 1991 debut album Don’t Come Easy, which included the song Forever Young. The band have maintained a strong following in Europe and remain active on the melodic rock and classic rock live circuit.
CoreLeoni were founded by Swiss guitarist Leo Leoni, also known as a founding member of Gotthard. The band’s repertoire has included material connected to Gotthard’s early catalogue as well as original work, positioning the group within the European hard rock market.
Black Star Riders were formed in 2012 by members of the then-current Thin Lizzy line-up as a vehicle for new material outside the Thin Lizzy name. The band released their debut album, All Hell Breaks Loose, in 2013 and have since built a catalogue rooted in classic hard rock.
